Cash in on Ripened Flint Walkthrough

Alright, so after you've finished up the Fire Temple, a few new quests pop up at the Bedrock Bistro. If you've already helped them out with the 'Meat For Meat' quest, you'll find a Goron named Gomo sitting at a table. He's a food critic with a serious craving for rare rocks, and he'll give you the 'Cash in on Ripened Flint' quest. Honestly, this one feels like it's all about luck, but don't worry, I'll walk you through it.

When you first talk to Gomo about the quest, he'll give you three options for how much Flint you want to give him at once. The table below shows your chances of actually getting Ripened Flint for each option:

If you're just trying to get this done fast and don't mind using up your Flint, just go with the 100 Flint option if you have enough. But if you want to be more efficient with your resources, I'd suggest the 20 Flint option. Here's the trick: before you hand over the Flint, make sure to save your game. If Gomo doesn't find any Ripened Flint in that batch, just reload your save and try again. You'll get 1,000 Rupees for every piece of Ripened Flint he finds, which isn't the best money-maker in the game, but it's a way to offload extra Flint if you have it.

Just a heads-up, you'll need at least 20 pieces of Flint to even start this quest. If you're running low, don't sweat it! You can mine for more ore all over Hyrule. There are a bunch of Ore Deposits just across Death Mountain, in the Lake Darman Monster Den. Oh, and before you leave the Bistro area, grab the 'Rock Roast' or 'Dust' quest from Cooke!
