Walkthrough
- 1First, complete the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest, obtained at Lookout Landing.
- 2Next, complete the Bring Peace to Hyrule Field side adventure.
- 3Return to Lookout Landing and find Scorpis to open the Emergency Shelter.
- 4Inside the shelter, speak with Gralens, the head of the monster-controlling crew.
- 5Choose the Stone Talus option from the "big monsters" quests.
- 6Travel to the Akkala region in the northeastern part of the map.
- 7Head northwest of the East Akkala Stable. If you have the Jochi-iu Shrine nearby, fast travel there.
- 8From the shrine, head west and slightly north until you reach a small pool of water. The Stone Talus is in this pool.
- 9To wake the Stone Talus, get close or attack it.
- 10The Stone Talus is normally impervious to attacks on its body. Its weak point is an ore node located on its back.
- 11Shoot the ore node with arrows. This may stun the Talus, allowing you to get behind it to attempt melee strikes, potentially with a spear.
- 12Dodge the Stone Talus's attacks: a sweeping arm attack and shooting its "hands."
- 13To avoid the "hands" attack, run to the opposite side of the hand that is firing.
- 14After it shoots its hands, the Stone Talus will fall to the ground to regrow them. This is a prime opportunity to attack the ore node.
- 15Continue attacking the ore node until the Stone Talus is defeated.
- 16Return to Gralens at Lookout Landing to complete the quest.
- 100 Silver Rupees for completing the quest.
- An additional 300 Gold Rupees if you have also completed the other two "Wanted" side quests.
