How to Beat Queen Gibdo

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Primary Damage Method: Riju's lightning attack.
• Melee Opportunity: Short window after Queen Gibdo is stunned by lightning.
• Phase 2 Spawners: Four mushrooms in the arena corners.
• Mushroom Weakness: Glowing pink part, vulnerable to lightning arrows when Queen Gibdo is in the lightning field.
• Minor Gibdo Weakness: Fire fruit fused arrows, light beams from destroyed mushrooms.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Queen Gibdo charges. Lure her into Riju's lightning field and hit her with an arrow. After damage, she enters camouflage and creates tornadoes. Dodge tornadoes and wait for an opening to hit her with lightning again. After a successful hit, a short melee window opens.
2. Phase 2 (50% Health): Several Gibdo and Moth Gibdo spawn from four mushrooms. Queen Gibdo also uses a continuous sand laser attack. Destroy the mushrooms using Riju's lightning on their glowing pink parts. When mushrooms are destroyed, light beams incapacitate minor Gibdos and destroy Moth Gibdos. Use these beams for safety while Riju's lightning recharges. Once all mushrooms are destroyed, Queen Gibdo fights similarly to Phase 1 but with the added laser attack. Dodge her attacks and use lightning arrows, followed by melee hits during stun windows to defeat her.

Strategy:

• Opening: Immediately activate Riju's power and shoot an arrow at Queen Gibdo as she charges into the lightning field for massive damage. Be prepared to dodge her charge, as it can be a one-hit kill.
• Tornadoes: If Queen Gibdo enters camouflage and creates tornadoes, do not shoot arrows through them as they will be absorbed. Either run to the side or wait for an opening. Ensure she is glowing green in the lightning field before attacking.
• Melee Window: After landing a lightning hit, Riju will signal a short window to attack Queen Gibdo with your strongest melee weapon. Be quick to get in as many hits as possible.
• Phase 2 Mushroom Destruction: Save Riju's lightning for destroying the mushrooms. Shoot arrows at the glowing pink parts once they are within the lightning field.
• Dealing with Minions: Use fire fruit fused arrows to quickly dispatch minor Gibdos. When mushrooms are destroyed, use the resulting light beams to temporarily incapacitate enemies and create safe zones.
• Dodging the Laser: Queen Gibdo's sand laser attack is continuous and accurate. Running towards the boss can sometimes help evade it more effectively than running away or to the side.
• Finishing Blow: After destroying all mushrooms and dealing with remaining enemies, Queen Gibdo will fight like in Phase 1 but with the laser attack. Continue using lightning arrows and melee windows. A final lightning arrow attack might be needed after she recovers from a melee stun to defeat her.
