Where to Find Ganondorf in the Depths

Discover the exact location of Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Depths. Follow our step-by-step guide to navigate Hyrule Castle Chasm and Gloom's Lair.

Ganondorf is located deep within the Depths beneath Hyrule Castle. While the Depths can be explored extensively, finding him requires a specific path. You can fast travel to Serutabomac Shrine near Hyrule Castle, then paraglide down into the Hyrule Castle Chasm. Continue descending into a deeper cavern, navigating past Like Likes and Horriblins. You'll encounter Electric Keese and a Silver Lynel; it's recommended to avoid the Lynel by paragliding to a small ledge.

In a small alcove, the floor will drop, leading you into a temple-like room. Use the Recall ability on fallen blocks to ascend. Proceed west through a tunnel filled with Ice Likes and Ice Keese. At the end of the tunnel, descend into a temple area with Lizalfos. You will need to defeat two Lizalfos at the bottom, including a Silver Lizalfos that uses powerful lightning arrows and inflicts Gloom damage. Note that Sages will be unavailable until later in this area.

After the Lizalfos, head west to find Zonai devices. Construct a fan-powered wing device with a cart and steering stick. Use this device to cross the cavern towards a Silver Moblin, avoiding a drop into Gloom Hands below. The Silver Moblin can be fought for a Silver Moblin Horn or bypassed. Continue down steps towards the Forgotten Foundations, defeating a Silver Bokoblin. Navigate a narrow passage filled with Gibdo, using fire or lightning fusions on arrows to defeat them quickly. Break the rocks blocking your path and proceed through a small tunnel further down.

Finally, jump into Gloom's Lair. Head south to another descent, where you will encounter the Demon King's Army. This army consists of five waves of enemies, increasing in difficulty, before you face Ganondorf himself. The Sages will assist you in this fight. Be mindful of Gloom damage from all enemies, aiming for a quick and efficient battle to conserve resources for the boss fight.
