Guide to finding Pyper in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn where to find him, what he needs, and how to complete his quest for Sunset Fireflies.

Alright, so you've stumbled upon Pyper, one of the Stable Trotters, and he's got himself in a bit of a pickle. He's chilling in a big tree near the Highland Stable in the Faron Grasslands, just playing his flute. Your first job is to head over there, climb up that tree, and have a chat with him. Once you get him down, he'll spill the beans: he needs ten Sunset Fireflies. Don't worry, we'll get you sorted.

Pyper's quest is tied to awakening the Great Fairy Kaysa, and you'll need to visit four Great Fairy Fountains in total. These fairies are super helpful for upgrading your armor, which you'll definitely want to do to survive those tougher fights later on.

Where to Find Sunset Fireflies:

You'll find these little guys hanging out in forests, usually near puddles of water. The guide mentions North Akkala and Faron Woods as good spots. If you're starting from Highland Stable, just head north into Faron Woods.

How to Catch Sunset Fireflies:

Here's the tricky part: Sunset Fireflies only show up at night, and only when it's not raining. You'll need to sneak up on them because they spook easily and will fly just out of reach. Keep an eye out near water sources, but be warned! This area can be a bit dangerous. You might run into Octoroks, Stakoblins, and Keese who can not only attack you but also scare off the fireflies you're trying to catch.

What to do Next:

Once you've managed to snag ten Sunset Fireflies, head back to Highland Stable and give them to Pyper. He'll then ask you to find Hatie, who can usually be found at night sitting against the main support beam inside the stable. Get her to follow you, and then lead her over to Pyper. After that, Pyper will show her something cool, probably a glowing tree, and give you a Hearty Truffle as a reward before he heads off to Outskirt Stable. Easy peasy!
