Stuck on the 'Open the Door' side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Learn exactly where to find the cabin, how to deal with the Bokoblins, and what rewards await!

So, you've stumbled upon a locked door and a side quest called "Open the Door" in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, huh? Don't worry, it's a pretty straightforward one, mostly about finding the right spot. If you've been exploring around Rito Village in the Hebra region, you've probably already activated the Lindor's Brow Skyview Tower. Pull up your map, and look a bit northwest of it. You'll see Tabantha Hills, and just under the text on the map, there's a path heading west. That's your general direction!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Find the Cabin: Launch yourself from the Lindor's Brow Skyview Tower and glide towards the west. As you get closer, you should spot a solitary cabin. Head over to it and try interacting with the door. This will kick off the "Open the Door" side quest. The cabin is located just northwest of Tanagar Canyon, so keep that in mind as you navigate.
  2. 2
Deal with the Bokoblins: Once you talk to the folks inside the cabin, they'll tell you their problem: they're too scared of the Bokoblins hanging out by a nearby campfire to open the door. They won't let you in until the coast is clear. If you wander around to the side of the cabin, you'll find a small hole you can peek through. You'll see the scared residents and, more importantly, the Bokoblins. Luckily, this part is super easy! No matter where you are in your game, you'll only have to face three regular Bokoblins. Just run over there and take them out.
  3. 3
Return to the Cabin: After you've cleared out the monsters, head back to the front door of the cabin and interact with it again. The residents will hear that the monsters are gone and will finally open the door for you.
  • As a thank you for helping them out, the residents will give you a Spicy Elixir. This is super handy for keeping warm in the chilly Hebra region. They'll also teach you how to Shield Surf, which is a pretty cool technique for sliding down slopes using your shield!
Tips
  • Make sure you've fully cleared out all three Bokoblins before returning to the cabin. If even one is left, they might not open the door.
  • Don't forget to grab the Spicy Elixir! It's a lifesaver in cold areas.
  • Practice your Shield Surfing! It's a fun way to get around and can be surprisingly useful.
