Follow this walkthrough to complete the 'A Token of Friendship' side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and find the Zora Greaves.
Walkthrough
- 1First, you must complete the Zora's Domain section of the main quest 'A Regional Phenomena.'
- 2Afterward, go to Zora's Domain and find Yona standing near the goddess statue. She will give you the quest 'A Token of Friendship.'
- 3Yona explains that the Zora Greaves were offered at the Ancient Zora Waterworks.
- 4Travel to the Ancient Zora Waterworks by diving into the large whirlpool southeast of Zora's Domain.
- 5Navigate through the waterworks until you reach the main room. The area will be drained of water.
- 6Proceed to the bottom portion of the waterworks and locate a large hole in the ground.
- 7Jump down the hole into another open area with waterfalls.
- 8A Stone Talus miniboss is located here. You can fight it by approaching the large rock near one of the waterfalls. While optional, defeating it is recommended.
- 9After dealing with the Stone Talus, find the waterfall that appears to have something behind it.
- 10Behind this waterfall, you will find a pedestal with a chest containing the Zora Greaves.
- 11Looting the chest completes the 'A Token of Friendship' side quest.
Tips
- The Stone Talus miniboss can be challenging. Stay at a distance to avoid its melee attacks, which involve it throwing its 'hands' at you.
- When the Stone Talus burrows into the ground, it's your chance to jump on its back and attack the ore node (its weak point).
- Be ready to jump off the Stone Talus when it shakes, as it's about to buck you off.
- The Stone Talus Heart is a valuable fusion item for weapons.
- You technically do not need to defeat the Stone Talus to obtain the Zora Greaves, but it is recommended.
