Follow this guide to complete The All-Clucking Cucco side adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn how to start the quest, complete trials, and defeat Yiga Clan soldiers.
Walkthrough
- 1Speak to Penn at the South Akkala Stable, located southwest of Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. He will direct you to speak with the All-Clucking Cucco on the hill near the stable.
- 2The cucco will present two trials. The first is to get on top of the stable's horse head within 45 seconds. To do this, paraglide to the stable, climb onto the roof, position yourself under the horse head, and ascend to the top.
- 3After completing the first trial, you will be returned to the cucco for the second trial. This trial requires you to cut down three trees and bring the logs to the top of the hill within 1 minute and 30 seconds. Use a durable bladed weapon, preferably an axe, to chop down three trees. You may need to cut them from multiple angles. Use Ultrahand to attach the logs together and carry them up the hill to the cucco.
- 4After completing these tasks, it will be revealed that the cucco was a ruse by the Yiga Clan. You will then need to defeat the Yiga Clan soldiers.
- 5Once the Yiga Clan soldiers are defeated, Penn will appear and speak with you. You will receive Rupees based on the number of Lucky Clover Gazette quests you have already completed.
Tips
- When fighting Yiga Clan soldiers, it is recommended to use a bow and arrow from a distance. Applying buffs like fire fruit or Lightning Chuchu Jelly can be effective. Elemental rod weapons also serve as good ranged alternatives.
- Yiga soldiers have relatively low HP but can deal significant damage. They are agile and tend to disappear and reappear, making them difficult to hit in melee. Watch out for their slam down attacks and running charge attacks, which are the most damaging.
- If you have stronger equipment and more hearts, you can attempt to land well-timed hits when the Yiga soldiers charge at you or prepare to disappear.
