Follow this guide to complete The Gathering Pirates side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn where to find Aya and how to defeat the pirates.
Walkthrough
- 1To begin The Gathering Pirates side quest, make your way to the East Akkala Stable. You'll find it north of Tarry Town, and it's quite easy to spot.
- 2Once you arrive, look for an NPC named Aya standing outside the stable. She'll explain that a group of pirates has appeared off the coast of Akkala near the stable and is causing trouble. Aya will ask you, Link, to deal with them before they become a bigger threat.
- 3Head east from the stable towards the cliff that overlooks the sea. From this vantage point, you should be able to see all three pirate ships.
- 4Glide down from the cliff towards the water. Aim to land near the ladder of the first ship and use it to board.
- 5You'll see a monster force bar appear, similar to other missions where you need to clear out enemies and their leaders. Use the ladders on the ship to get to higher ground, which will help you fight off the enemies more safely. Be aware of the Bokoblins who shoot arrows and try to take out any Aerocudas that might knock you off the ship. Using Bomb Flowers can be very effective for attacking groups of enemies.
- 6After clearing the first ship, move on to the second one and repeat the same strategy.
- 7On the second ship, make sure to grab the chest located in the middle of the Zonai devices on the deck. It contains a Sapphire.
- 8Proceed to the third and final ship. This one is the farthest from the coast. Look for a monster chest in one of the crow's nests. Once all enemies are defeated, this chest will unlock, giving you a Blue Hinox Hammer.
- 9With all the pirates defeated, return to Aya at the East Akkala Stable. She'll reward you with two Pony Points and an Endura Carrot for your efforts.
