Follow this guide to complete the A Crabulous Deal side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn where to find Bright-Eyed Crabs and how to catch them.
Walkthrough
- 1First, you must complete the Zora's part of the Regional Phenomena questline, which involves clearing the Water Temple.
- 2After completing the Water Temple, return to Zora's Domain.
- 3Head to the general shop in Zora's Domain and speak with the NPC named Cleff.
- 4Cleff will tell you he has developed a craving for Bright-Eyed Crabs and asks you to bring him ten of them.
- 5Locate Bright-Eyed Crabs. They appear in larger numbers when it is raining. Good locations include Zora's Domain, Lanayru Wetlands, and Lanayru Great Spring.
- 6Specific spots to find them:
- On the small islands beneath Zora's Domain (requires a lot of swimming).
- 7On the long set of stairs at Mipha's Court (if you have completed the Ihen-a Shrine).
- 8Throughout caves in the three main areas mentioned above.
- 9On a beach northwest of Mercay Island (which has the Lanayru Wetlands Chasm on it). This beach is visible on your map and is a particularly good spot, especially when it's raining.
- 10Catch the Bright-Eyed Crabs. They will run away if you get too close or make noise, but they are not very fast. It is easiest to crouch and sneak up on them.
- 11Once you have collected 10 Bright-Eyed Crabs, return to Cleff in Zora's Domain.
- 12Hand over the crabs to Cleff to receive your reward.
Tips
- Bright-Eyed Crabs are more numerous when it is raining.
- While the crabs will flee if you approach too quickly, they are slow enough to be outrun.
- Crouching and sneaking is the most effective method for catching them without them escaping.
- After completing the quest, you can continue to give Cleff more crabs for additional rewards, typically gems like Opals and Sapphires.
