Uncover the Blight Druid's unique abilities, domain choices, and level progression in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Learn about Miasma, Blightblooded, and Plaguebearer.

Alright, so you're looking to dive into the Blight Druid in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous? It's a pretty unique take on the classic Druid, trading in that trusty animal companion for some seriously nasty nature magic. Let's break down what makes this class tick.

First off, the Blight Druid doesn't get an Animal Companion, so don't expect to be buddying up with a wolf or bear from the get-go. Instead, you'll be focusing on a different kind of nature, one that's a bit more… toxic. You get to pick from a pretty wide array of domains, including some really cool thematic ones like Darkness, Death, Destruction, Murder, Undead, and of course, Plant. You can also grab the usual suspects like Air, Animal, Earth, Fire, Water, and Weather.

Here's a look at how your Blight Druid levels up and what special goodies you'll unlock:

Domain Notes:

  • Domains like Air, Earth, Fire, Plant, and Water grant you specific abilities at level 1.
  • All other domains grant their abilities starting at level 2.

Miasma (Level 5):

This is where things start getting nasty. Once you hit level 5, if you're standing next to a creature at the start of your turn, they have to make a Fortitude save. If they fail, they get sickened for one round. Even worse, animals, fey, and plants will be nauseated for a round and sickened for a whole minute! If they manage to save, they become immune to your Miasma ability, and it won't affect creatures that are already immune to disease. Keep in mind, the DC for this save is 10 + half your class level + your Wisdom modifier.

Blightblooded (Level 9):

At level 9, you become a walking biohazard. You gain immunity to all diseases, and you can't be sickened or nauseated by anything. Pretty sweet deal for a Blight Druid, right?

Plaguebearer (Level 13):

This is the cherry on top of your disease-ridden sundae. Starting at level 13, any creature that hits you with a touch attack, unarmed strike, or natural weapon has to make another Fortitude save. If they fail, they get nauseated for a round and contract bubonic plague, which deals 1d4 Constitution damage and makes them fatigued. Like Miasma, if they make the save, they become immune to Plaguebearer. The DC here is also 10 + half your class level + your Wisdom modifier.

So, as you can see, the Blight Druid is all about spreading debuffs and making enemies miserable. It's a really fun and different playstyle if you enjoy controlling the battlefield with nasty effects!
