A Prophet of Pestilence is a carrier of filth and disease. They gain special disease abilities, do not have a choice of spirit or receive a familiar, gain fewer hexes, and their alignment must be Neutral, Neutral Evil, or Chaotic Evil.

Abilities

Plague's Caress

You gain a melee touch attack that causes the target to become sickened for a number of rounds equal to your class level / 2. This is a disease effect and you can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Plague of Abaddon

From 2nd level, a Prophet of Pestilence can infect a creature failing a Fortitude save with plague. The plague lasts a number of rounds equal to the shaman's class level or until the target succeeds at a Fortitude save. This is a disease effect.

Carrier of Disease

At 2nd level, and every four subsequent levels, a Prophet of Pestilence can select a mutation for the Plague of Abaddon.

Plague Mutations

  • Strength Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Strength damage to the affected creature.
  • Dexterity Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Dexterity damage to the affected creature.
  • Constitution Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Constitution damage to the affected creature.
  • Intelligence Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Intelligence damage to the affected creature.
  • Wisdom Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Wisdom damage to the affected creature.
  • Charisma Damage: The Plague of Abaddon deals 1d4 Charisma damage to the affected creature.
  • Contagiousness (Level 10): When a creature becomes infected with the Plague of Abaddon, all creatures within 10' of the target must succeed at a Fortitude saving throw or become infected as well.
  • New Strain (Level 10): Ability damage dealt by the Plague of Abaddon increases by 1 step (1d4 becomes 1d6, 1d6 becomes 1d8). This mutation may be selected multiple times.
  • Dulled Reactions (Level 10, Prerequisite: Dexterity Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon suffers -2 penalties to AC, Reflex saves and Dexterity-based attack rolls, ability checks and skill checks.
  • Muscle Feebleness (Level 10, Prerequisite: Strength Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon takes 2 points of Strength damage and their movement speed is reduced by 10'.
  • Vulnerable Host (Level 10, Prerequisite: Constitution Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon receives a -2 penalty to Fortitude saves.
  • Drain Body (Level 10, Prerequisite: Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon becomes sickened and fatigued.
  • Drain Mind (Level 10, Prerequisite: Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon becomes shaken.
  • Withering (Level 14): The Plague of Abaddon inflicts 1 negative level in addition to its other effects.
  • Defenseless Host (Level 14, Prerequisite: Constitution Damage, Vulnerable Host): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon suffers an additional -2 penalty to Fortitude saves. When attempting a Fortitude save against any poison or disease, it is affected for 1 round even if it succeeds.
  • Muscle Atrophy (Level 14, Prerequisite: Strength Damage, Muscle Feebleness): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon takes an additional 2 points of Strength damage and their movement speed is reduced by 15'.
  • Stiffened Limbs (Level 14, Prerequisite: Dexterity Damage, Dulled Reactions): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon cannot make attacks of opportunity and is flat-footed and denied its Dexterity bonus to AC.
  • Erode Body (Level 14, Prerequisite: Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution Damage): A creature affected by the Plague of Abaddon is exhausted. If it tries to make an attack or cast a spell, it must make a Fortitude save with the hex's DC or lose the action and become nauseated for 1 round.
