Abilities

Frightful Gaze

As a standard action, a Ghost Rider can fix her gaze on an opponent within 30 feet, causing paralysis for 1 round unless they succeed on a Will save (DC = 10 + class level / 2 + CHA). This is a mind-affecting fear effect, usable a number of times per day equal to the Ghost Rider's Charisma modifier.

From 9th level, this ability can affect creatures immune to fear or mind-affecting effects, and creatures failing their saving throws are staggered.

Ghost Mount

A Ghost Rider's horse is ectoplasm rather than flesh and bone, making it immune to bleeding and effects requiring living tissue.

Etheric Tether

A Ghost Rider can create a link with her mount as a free action. If the mount's HP would be reduced to 0, it is healed to 1 HP, but the rider loses HP equal to the amount restored to the mount.

Magic Attacks

From 3rd level, the Ghostly Mount's attacks are treated as magic weapons for overcoming damage reduction. From 10th level, they gain the same alignment as the Ghost Rider.

Spirited Mount

From 5th level, the Ghostly Mount ignores difficult terrain. From 8th level, it gains concealment (20% miss chance).

Ghost Wind

At 11th level, the Ghostly Mount's speed increases by +40 feet. At 14th level, it gains immunity to trip and ground-based effects.

Spiritual Bond

At 14th level, a Ghost Rider can create a link with her mount as a free action. If the rider's HP would be reduced to 0, they are healed to 1 HP, but the mount loses HP equal to the amount restored to the rider. This ability cannot be used simultaneously with Etheric Tether.

Shared Minds

At 16th level, once per round, when the Ghostly Mount fails a Will saving throw, the Ghost Rider can attempt a Will save against the effect's DC. If the rider's save is successful, the effect is negated.
