Follow our guide to locate Alexander the Iron Fist in Elden Ring, from Limgrave to Mt. Gelmir, and complete his entire questline. Learn where to find him and how to help him progress.
Walkthrough
- 1First Meeting: Limgrave
Find Alexander east of the Warmaster’s Shack. He's stuck in the ground. Hit his rear with a heavy attack to free him. You'll receive the Triumphant Delight emote and a piece of Exalted Flesh. - 2Second Meeting: Gael Tunnel
Alexander is found inside Gael Tunnel in Caelid. If you enter from the rear, you'll hit a dead end with a locked door. You must find the front entrance (southeast of the rear entrance, approach from the west of Caelid). Navigate the tunnel, defeat enemies, and open the door from the other side to speak with Alexander. - 3Third Meeting: Redmane Castle
Alexander is north of the Redmane Castle Plaza Site of Grace in Caelid. Speak with him. He will participate in the Starscourge Radahn fight as an NPC summon. After Radahn is defeated, find him near the Site of Grace where he laments his weakness. - 4Fourth Meeting: Liurnia of the Lakes
Find Alexander stuck in the ground again, south of the Carian Study Hall Site of Grace in eastern Liurnia. You'll need an Oil Pot to free him this time. Craft one using the cookbook found from the merchant in Siofra River. Apply the Oil Pot to him, then hit his rear with a heavy attack. - 5Fifth Meeting: Mt. Gelmir
Alexander is in a lava field on Mt. Gelmir, northwest of the Altus Plateau. Head west from Wyndham Ruins to the Seethewater River, follow it northwest to Fort Laied, then travel south to the lava field.
