Activate Malenia's Great Rune in Elden Ring

Malenia's Great Rune is obtained after defeating the optional boss Malenia, Blade of Miquella, located in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. To activate it, you must reach the Isolated Divine Tower, situated southeast of Leyndell, Royal City.

There are two primary routes to the Isolated Divine Tower:

Tower of Return Route

1. From the Weeping Peninsula, head southeast from the Isolated Merchant’s Shack site of grace to find the Tower of Return.

2. Climb the tower to the top and open the teleporter chest.

3. You will be transported to the Divine Bridge in Leyndell, Royal City.

4. Head up the southwestern stairs, activate the Divine Bridge site of grace, and proceed past the large stone golem.

5. To the left, you will find a teleporter. Activate it to be transported outside the Isolated Divine Tower.

6. Open the doors, take the elevator to the top, and activate Malenia's Great Rune.

Roundtable (Leyndell) Route

1. From the Fortified Manor site of grace in Leyndell, Royal City, return to the main large hallway and open the double doors.

2. Follow the corridors northwest until you enter the courtyard with the Abductor Virgins.

3. In the courtyard, head southwest to find an elevator that takes you up to the Divine Bridge.

4. Activate the Divine Bridge site of grace, run past the golem, and take the teleporter to your left.

5. This teleporter will also lead you outside the Isolated Divine Tower. Open the doors, take the elevator to the top, and activate Malenia's Great Rune.

Malenia's Great Rune Effect

Malenia's Great Rune allows the wielder to recover a portion of health by attacking enemies after taking damage. This effect is indicated by a lighter red bar on your health display. However, using this rune causes your Crimson Tear Flasks to heal for less. It is particularly effective for players with an aggressive combat style.
