It's a bit of a nasty surprise tucked away in the Weeping Peninsula, and honestly, calling it a 'boss' feels a little generous, but it's definitely a tough fight in a cramped space. You'll find this cave along the northern edge of the Weeping Peninsula, kind of between the Forest Lookout Tower and the Demi-Human Forest Ruins. Look for a little path along the cliffs to get down to the entrance.

Inside, it's mostly just rats at first. Clear them out, then look for a pit to drop down. Keep going, and you'll find the Runebear chilling. It fights like any other Runebear you might have met elsewhere, but the cave is way smaller than the Mistwood or Dragonbarrow, which makes things way harder.

Runebear Attacks

This thing hits hard and fast. Here’s what you’ll be dealing with:

• Double Paw Smash: It rears back and smashes the ground twice. Watch out, it can hit you even if you're behind it.
• Swipe: A quick claw swipe, often followed by another with the other paw.
• Slam: It rears up with both paws and slams the ground. It has a decent area of effect (AoE) and can also hit foes behind it.

• Charging Leap: This is the worst in this small arena. It charges forward and leaps, hitting a wide area. Dodging this is tough because of the bear's size, the small space, and how quickly it does it.
