Dexterity (DEX) weapons in Elden Ring require a significant investment in the DEX stat. Unlike Strength weapons, DEX weapons are faster and often inflict status effects like Blood Loss, which became particularly potent in Patch 1.04. Their lighter weight also makes them suitable for dual-wielding or pairing with a shield. While many weapons can be infused with Keen scaling for better DEX scaling, this guide focuses on weapons that naturally favor DEX or offer unique advantages.

#5 - Dragon King’s Cragblade

The Dragon King’s Cragblade is a Heavy Thrusting Sword obtained from Dragonlord Placidusax’s Remembrance, available in the late stages of the game. It requires 37 DEX and 18 STR. At +8 and beyond, it achieves B scaling for DEX, with Physical and Lightning damage. It upgrades with Somber Smithing Stones.

Its basic attack is a five-hit combo ending in an upward thrust. The Heavy Attack is a charged thrust. Two-handing it results in a faster five-hit thrust combo.

The Ash of War, Thundercloud Form, allows the user to levitate on a dark lightning cloud before crashing down with a powerful lightning thrust. This can be charged to increase its range across the battlefield.

The Godskin Peeler is obtained from the Godskin Apostle in Dominula, Windmill Village, on the Altus Plateau. While it has modest requirements of 22 DEX and 17 STR, it truly shines with a heavy Arcane investment. It upgrades with regular Smithing Stones.

At Standard +25, it has B DEX scaling, and at Keen +25 (requiring the loss of its unique Ash of War), it achieves A DEX scaling.

Its basic attack is a five-hit slash combo. . Two-handing it unleashes a five-hit spin and slash combo, or a charged spin followed by a thrust. A sprinting Heavy Attack performs this spin attack quicker.

The Ash of War, Black Flame Tornado, can be charged to create a persistent tornado of black flames around the user, followed by a ground slam for a large gust. However, the weapon's main draw is its rapid Blood Loss buildup when infused for Blood scaling and invested in Arcane, making it exceptionally effective.

The Hand of Malenia is acquired from Malenia’s Remembrance after defeating the optional boss Malenia, Blade of Miquella, at the base of Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. This weapon has the highest DEX requirement in the game at 48 DEX and 16 STR. It causes 50 Blood Loss buildup and reaches B DEX scaling at +3. It upgrades with Somber Smithing Stones.

Its basic attack is a five-hit slash combo. . Two-handing it changes the string to a faster five-hit slash combo, and the Heavy Attack becomes a charged downward strike followed by an upward strike.
