Discover the Gael Tunnel in Elden Ring's Caelid region. Learn how to find the entrance, defeat enemies like the Magma Wyrm boss, and claim valuable loot like the Moonveil Katana and Cross-Naginata.
Walkthrough
- 1Finding the Entrance: From the Spiritsprings north of the Third Church of Marika, ascend the cliffs and follow the road northeast. Near the wall separating Limgrave and Caelid, turn south, jump on rocks, and ride south. Drop down a ledge to a graveyard, then drop down two more ledges and turn east to find an entrance.
- 2Navigating the Tunnel (Caelid Entrance): Proceed down a linear passage until you reach a ledge overlooking a pit. Kill the two Radahn Soldiers, then drop down ledges clockwise to the bottom. Search a dead-end passage to the north for a Somber Smithing Stone (2). You'll find the Gael Tunnel Site of Grace at the bottom.
- 3The Large Chamber: Venture north to a large chamber with a multilevel wooden platform. This area has many Radahn Soldiers and Miners. Many enemies can be defeated with backstabs. Miners are resistant to physical damage, so ranged magic is effective. Killing most enemies here is optional as they don't guard crucial loot.
- 4The Giant Land Octopus: In a side chamber to the northeast, you'll find a Giant Land Octopus and other Land Octopuses. Defeat them to loot a corpse in the southeastern corner for the Cross-Naginata.
- 5Towards the Boss: From the central chamber, head northwest to a ledge with a Radahn Soldier. Backstab him, climb down the ladder, and defeat the horn-wielding Radahn Soldier and a Miner.
- 6The Rear Entrance: Go down a tunnel to the south to a chamber with a door west and double doors north. Ignore the north doors for now; they lead to the boss. Open the west door to find the Rear Gael Tunnel Entrance Site of Grace, which provides a convenient shortcut back to the boss chamber. You can find Alexander the Iron Fist just beyond this door.
- 7The Magma Wyrm Boss: Return to the north double doors to confront the Magma Wyrm boss. This is an optional, lower-mid-tier boss. Stay mobile to avoid its magma attacks and charge. Be wary of its sickle-sword attacks, especially the pull-back strike.
