There are seven Artist's Paintings found across the land in elden ring. The paintings depict specific locations, and when you find them, the ghost of the artist will appear at the location from which the painting was made. You’ll need to consider the perspective and where the artist was painting from, rather than going to the depicted location itself. When you find the summoned ghost artists, they’ll offer you rewards for finding them, acting as a mini treasure hunt.

Artist’s Painting Locations:

• Homing Instinct Painting: Artist’s Shack (Limgrave)
• Prophecy Painting: Stormveil Castle - Found inside a room located near the heavily guarded courtyard where you’ll also find the Omen enemy (near the Liftside Chamber site of grace).
• Resurrection Painting: Artist’s Shack (Liurnia of the Lakes)
• Redmane Painting: Sellia, Town of Sorcery in Caelid - Slightly hidden by rubble in the center of the town.
• Champion’s Song Painting: Shaded Castle - on the east side of the castle in a small room with barrels and wooden storage.
• Flightless Bird Painting: Leyndell, Royal Capital - On the first floor of the Fortified Manor and in the same room as the Fortified Manor, First Floor site of grace.
• Sorcerer Painting: Castle Sol - inside the building at the center of the main courtyard. It’s reached by going up a ladder within the building in the northwest and then following the ramparts all the way west until you cross a wooden bridge and can take a ladder down into the main building.

Homing Instinct Painting

To find the ghost of the artist of the Homing Instinct painting, head over to the Seaside Ruins site of grace and travel northwest until you’re also approximately southwest of the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. The ghost is sitting in a chair overlooking the ruins. When you find the ghost, he’ll reward you with the Incantation Scarab helmet.

Prophecy Painting

The Prophecy Painting’s artist can be found by heading to the Church of Pilgrimage in Weeping Peninsula and then going north towards a broken pillar. You’re looking for the cliff and the waterfall in the background, as shown in the painting. When you find the ghost, he’ll give you the Warhawl Ashes, which allows you to summon a hawk companion who can breathe fire and attack with swords attached to its legs!

Resurrection Painting

The Resurrection Painting’s ghost can be found in the graveyard to the east of Caria Manor in Liurnia of the Lakes. The exact location is directly north of the small lake that’s southeast of Caria Manor on the map. Look for the large rocks jutting out of the ground near the graveyard, and the ghost will be behind one. When you speak to the ghost, it will give you a Larval Tear, the Juvenile Scholar Robe, and the Juvenile Scholar Cap.

Redmane Painting

The Redmane painting’s artist can be found northeast of Fort Faroth, on the cliffs southeast of the Dragonbarrow Minor Erdtree. Keep an eye out for some columns in the forefront of the painting. Upon speaking to the ghost, you’ll earn Ash of War: Rain of Arrows.

Champion’s Song Painting

The artist of the Champion’s Song painting can be found southwest of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital, up on the cliff where you fight Ancient Dragon Lansseax. The ghost will drop the Harp Bow. Make sure to grab this one before you head to Crumbling Farum Azula, as a certain event will mean you’re unable to reach the painter’s location.

Flightless Bird Painting

The Flightless Bird painting’s artist can be found at the edge of the cliff southeast of the Windmill Heights site of grace, which is found in the small cliff-town northeast of Leyndell, Royal Capital. The painting has a central perspective on the main gate of the Royal Capital. The ghost will give you a Fire’s Deadly Sin incantation.

Sorcerer Painting

The painter of the Sorcerer Painting can be found southwest of Castle Sol, on the side of the bridge found northwest of Stargazer’s Ruins in Mountaintops of the Giants. When you speak to the ghost, it’ll give you a Greathood.
