Don't miss a single shield! This guide covers all shield locations in Limgrave, Elden Ring, including drops from soldiers and purchases from merchants. Find the Brass Shield, Beast Crest Heater Shield, Blue-Gold Kite Shield, and Riveted Wooden Shield.
Alright, Tarnished! Limgrave is your first big playground in Elden Ring, and you'll want to get your hands on some good shields early on. They can really save your skin, especially when you're just starting out. Let's go over the shields you can snag in this starting area.
We've got a couple of shields you can get as drops from enemies, and a couple more you can just buy if you've got the Runes.
Shields You Can Find as Drops
These shields aren't guaranteed drops, so you might have to do a little farming, but they're definitely worth it.
- Brass Shield — This is a solid medium shield that scales with Strength. You'll find soldiers carrying these near the Gatefront Ruins Site of Grace. Keep an eye out for the Godrick Soldiers with these shields; they'll drop them occasionally.
- Beast Crest Heater Shield — You can find this one in a chest. Head to the camp located between the Warmaster’s Shack and the Deathtouched Catacombs. There are a bunch of enemies there, including soldiers, a Beast Crest Heater Knight, and some dogs, so be ready for a fight before you can grab the chest.
Shields You Can Buy
If farming isn't your thing, or you just want a shield right away, these are available for purchase.
- Blue-Gold Kite Shield — This medium shield will cost you 1,000 Runes. You can buy it from the Nomadic Merchant found in East Limgrave, specifically between the Mistwood Ruins and Fort Haight.
- Riveted Wooden Shield — A smaller option, this shield is a bargain at 600 Runes. Like the Blue-Gold Kite Shield, you can pick this one up from the same Nomadic Merchant in East Limgrave, between the Mistwood Ruins and Fort Haight.
Grabbing a couple of these will definitely make your early-game journey through Limgrave a bit smoother. Happy hunting!
