Alright, Tarnished, let's talk about the Lake of Rot. This place is nasty with all that Scarlet Rot, but you've got a couple of tough customers to deal with here. We'll break down the bosses and elite enemies you'll encounter so you can go in prepared.

Bosses & Elite Enemies:

• Astel, Naturalborn of the Void — This is a legend boss guarding a secret area. You'll find it via a coffin at the waterfall west of the Grand Cloister site of grace in the southern Lake of Rot. Astel is a required boss for Ranni the Witch's questline. Defeating it nets you 80,000 Runes and the Remembrance of the Naturalborn, which can be exchanged for the Ash of War: Waves of Darkness or the Bastard's Stars weapon.
• Dragonkin Soldier — This Great Enemy is located near Worshipper's Woods. You might have already fought a similar one in Siofra River. The key here is to manage the Scarlet Rot-inducing red water. You'll need to activate four pressure plates around the arena to raise platforms and avoid the water. Once you beat it, you'll get 58,000 Runes and the Dragonscale Blade.
