Walkthrough

    From the Castle Morn Rampart Site of Grace, head uphill to the northeast to reach the top of a plateau.

    Continue north until you find a crone statue on some rocks overlooking a cliff.

    Head southeast past some ruins until you find a slope leading down. You'll know you're on the right track when you spot large tombstones, followed by ethereal jellyfish.

    The entrance to the Impaler's Catacombs is along the cliff to the southwest.

    Head inside and activate the Impaler's Catacombs Site of Grace.

    Continue down stairs to the southwest, then southwest again, being wary of a pit. Jade Goblins will attack from the pit.

    Enter a small chamber to the southeast. A sealed door requires a lever to open.

    Turn left and go down a passage to the northeast. In the next chamber, a Jade Goblin will throw projectiles from the far end, while another lurks on the wall to the northeast, and a third will drop from the ceiling.

    Defeat the Jade Goblins and continue northeast to a fork.

    Continuing northeast from the fork leads left (northwest) to a small chamber with Jade Goblins and Grave Glovewort, but little else of interest.

    To advance, turn right (southeast) at the fork. You will find a larger chamber with a trap floor and spiked ceiling.

    Walk onto the trap floor, then dodge backwards into the tunnel you came from.

    While the floor is raised, drop down below it to proceed.

    You will find yourself in a watery chamber. Go through a tunnel to the southeast to reach a larger chamber with roaming Zombies. These Zombies have a painful grapple attack and respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) endlessly.

    In the eastern corner of the first watery chamber, loot a corpse for the Prattling Pate “Please help”.

    Work your way southwest, then northwest, and climb a ladder.

    At the top of the ladder, pull a lever near a statue.

    Continue northwest then southwest, potentially killing another Jade Goblin, until you find a window.

    Drop down through the window to reach the catacombs' first chamber. The boss door is to the southeast.

    Rest at the nearby Site of Grace if needed (this will spawn at least two Jade Goblins).

    Pass through the misted boss door to face the Erdtree Burial Watchdog. This boss is accompanied by several Jade Goblins. Use summons to distract enemies and focus on killing the Jade Goblins first. Once they are dead, defeat the Erdtree Burial Watchdog.

  • Be wary of ambushing Jade Goblins at the beginning of the catacombs.
  • The Erdtree Burial Watchdog is an optional boss.
  • Summons are useful against the Erdtree Burial Watchdog and its Jade Goblin companions.

  • Stonesword Key: Plunder a seated corpse at the northern end of the peninsula the Impaler’s Catacombs are located on.
  • Prattling Pate “Please help”: Activate a trap floor and escape, then drop down below where the floor was to reach a watery chamber. Go up a tunnel to the southeast to reach a room full of Zombies. Loot a corpse in the eastern corner of this room.
