When using the Insecticide or Sedative Poison Vial or Pills with the Machine, be aware that finding sedated bodies can sometimes lead to a loss of Silent Assassin, especially if too many people witness the effect.

To mitigate this, clear out key NPCs like the Guard in the Security Room and Spencer Green before activating the Machine. Nolan's arrival in the Security Room is a good trigger point.

Further improve your chances of keeping Silent Assassin by incapacitating the Guard in the Living Room, hiding him in the Garage, and using the Bathroom Sink to lure Nolan's escort away before using the Machine.

When fumigating the House on Professional and Master difficulties, destroy the Security Camera Recorder before using the Machine to prevent nearby Guards from being alerted by found bodies.

Utilize Mailboxes by placing any item inside. Ringing the doorbell of a house with a resident will draw them out to collect the item.

Nearby Civilians will also investigate Mailboxes and take items, potentially bringing them inside or dropping them on the windowsill.

If an item is a weapon, the person who finds it will drop it and call a Guard. Proximity devices will detonate.

The Rake, found at the Cross House, can be used as a melee weapon or to knock out individuals when placed on the ground. A found body from a Rake knockout will not result in Silent Assassin loss, but being seen being knocked out will.

Undercover agents are disguised as Civilians. For example, Gardeners in the West House's Back Yard who drop a weapon when knocked out are undercover agents. Disguises from them do not grant special access.
