Quest Items are crucial components found and used within Sea of Thieves' Tall Tales and special Voyages. These items take various forms, including Keys, Totems, Medallions, Trinkets, Skulls, and Equipment. Most quest items cannot be sold for gold, with a few exceptions.

Types of Quest Items

While each Tall Tale features unique items, they can be broadly categorized:

Equippable Quest Items

These are special, modified tools or equipment acquired during specific Tall Tales. They are accessible only through the Map Radial Inventory and are usable solely within their respective Tall Tales. These include:

• Enchanted Compass — Found in The Cursed Rogue; points to Captain Briggsy.
• Enchanted Lantern — Found in The Fate of the Morningstar and The Seabound Soul; reveals past events.
• Carved Plank — Found in The Legendary Storyteller; acts as a map with landmarks and coordinates.
• Flame of Souls — Used with braziers, torches, and lanterns in the Sea of the Damned.
• Golden Wayfinder — Used in Wayfinder Voyages; points to hidden Torn Map Parchments.
• Jack's Compass — Guides players to their most desired items in Tall Tales.
• Morningstar Set — Clothing items found during Revenge of the Morningstar.
• Lover's Compass — Found in Wild Rose; points to Rose and George.
• The Shroudbreaker — A legendary artifact for the ship's Helm, used to sail into The Devil's Shroud.
• Sudds' Ancient Spyglass — Found in Stars of a Thief; allows viewing constellations even in daytime or storms.
• Trapmaker's Spyglass — Found in The Art of the Trickster; used to solve puzzles.

Transportable Quest Items

These are Trinket-like items carried for puzzle-solving or quest completion.

Keys

Totem Keys

These Totem Keys are part of the Tall Tales The Shroudbreaker (Quest), Stars of a Thief, and The Art of the Trickster. Each quest randomly provides one Totem to open a hidden Vault on a specific Large Island:

• Boar Totem — Opens a vault on Devil's Ridge.
• Crab Totem — Opens a vault on Uncharted Island (N-13).
• Moon Totem — Opens a vault on Crescent Isle.
• Scarab Totem — Opens a vault on Crook's Hollow.
• Snake Totem — Opens a vault on Mermaid's Hideaway.
• Shark Totem — Opens a vault on Kraken's Fall.

Medallions

These coin-like Medallions are used as Keys for opening Treasure rooms in Vaults, specifically Totem Vault Medallions.
