Walkthrough
  1. 1
Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found randomly on islands, beached, floating in barrels or shipwrecks, within vaults in forts, or taken by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, or the Kraken. Each treasure item emits a colored glint or glow for easy spotting.
  2. 2
Carrying Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative at an Outpost. While carrying treasure, a pirate cannot fight or use equipment/resources. The treasure must be dropped to regain full control. Harpoons can retrieve treasure from afar. Smaller items can be placed in Container Chests (holding up to 3 small items) to hide their glow and simplify transport.
  3. 3
Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.
  4. 4
Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary grants Emissary Grade Reputation when picking up relevant treasure. Additional Reputation is gained when the treasure is put on the ship. These increases are awarded only upon the first claim of a treasure item.
  5. 5
Trading Companies: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company that buys them: Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. Within these, treasures can be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, Skeletal, or Ghostly variants.
  6. 6
Gold Hoarders Treasure: Items sold to the Gold Hoarders include Treasure Chests and Artefacts.
  7. 7
Treasure Chests: These are locked chests sold to the Gold Hoarders. They emit a white glint and come in six types: Regular, Shipwrecked (damaged, found underwater/shipwrecks), Coral (found in Siren Shrines/Treasuries), Ashen (molten, found in The Devil's Roar, double price), Valuable (from specific encounters), and Cursed (tied to specific locations/effects, very valuable).
  8. 8
Artefacts: Smaller items found on their own, in chests, or fortress vaults. They emit a golden glint and include Trinkets, Containers, or Ornaments made of valuable metals and gems.
Tips
  • Use a Harpoon to quickly grab treasure from a distance.
  • Container Chests can hide treasure's glow and carry multiple small items.
  • Pay attention to the colored glint to identify treasure types from afar.
  • Prioritize selling treasure relevant to your current Emissary Trading Company for bonus reputation and value.
