Skeleton Ships and Fleets are dynamic world events that can appear at any time, marked by a distinct red mist or a spectral ship icon on your map. These encounters are purely naval and require your crew to engage in ship-to-ship combat against ghostly adversaries. Successfully defeating them yields valuable loot and a sense of accomplishment.

Skeleton Ships:

These are individual spectral vessels that roam the seas. They can appear unexpectedly and will often target your ship if they spot you. Skeleton Ships are armed with spectral cannons that fire cursed cannonballs, each with a unique detrimental effect on your ship or crew (e.g., causing water to flood, disabling your wheel, or blinding your crew).

Skeleton Fleets:

A Skeleton Fleet is a more challenging encounter, consisting of multiple Skeleton Ships that attack in formation. They are often marked by a large red mist cloud on the map. When you sail into the mist, you'll be surrounded by several Skeleton Ships, and the encounter will begin. The goal is to defeat all the ships within the fleet to receive the ultimate reward.

Combat Mechanics & Strategies:

• Spectral Cannons: Skeleton Ships fire several cursed cannonballs. Be prepared to deal with effects like:
  • Splashdown: Causes water to flood your ship.
  • Green Mist: Blinds your crew.
  • Skeleton Curse: Turns your crew into skeletons temporarily.
  • Drenched: Makes your crew unable to interact with objects.
  • Parrot Fury: Summons parrots that attack your crew.
  • Anchor Curse: Prevents you from raising your anchor.
  • Steering Curse: Reverses your ship's steering.
• Target Prioritization: In a Fleet encounter, focus on taking down individual ships one by one. Prioritize ships that are causing the most damage or are closest to sinking you.
• Cannonball Usage: Regular cannonballs are effective, but consider using specific types:
  • Chain Shot: Excellent for disabling enemy sails and masts.
  • Cannonball of the Kraken: Deals significant damage to multiple targets.
