Embarking on voyages is how you'll earn your reputation and riches in Sea of Thieves. These missions are offered by various Trading Companies, each with its own focus. Whether you're digging for buried treasure with the Gold Hoarders, hunting bounties for the Order of Souls, or delivering rare goods for the Merchant Alliance, mastering the art of the voyage is key to becoming a legendary pirate.

Types of Voyages

Sea of Thieves offers several distinct types of voyages:

• Trading Company Voyages: These are the standard quests offered by the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. They typically involve finding treasure maps, hunting skeleton captains, or collecting specific cargo.
• Tall Tales: These are narrative-driven, multi-part quests that delve deep into the lore of Sea of Thieves. They often involve complex puzzles, unique mechanics, and significant story progression.
• Athena's Fortune Voyages: Exclusive to Pirate Legends, these high-level voyages offer the most challenging content and the most lucrative rewards, often involving multiple Trading Company elements.

Acquiring Voyages

Voyages are obtained from the respective Trading Company representatives located at Outposts:

• Gold Hoarders: Offer treasure maps leading to buried chests.
• Order of Souls: Provide bounties to hunt down skeleton captains.
• Merchant Alliance: Task you with collecting and delivering specific animals or cargo.
• Sea Dogs: Primarily focused on Arena combat (now retired).
• Athena's Fortune: Accessible only to Pirate Legends, offering unique legendary quests.

Starting and Managing Voyages

To start a voyage:

1. Approach the Trading Company representative at an Outpost.
2. Select the 'Voyages' option.
3. Choose the voyage you wish to undertake (you can hold a limited number of voyages at a time).
4. Vote on the voyage at your ship's table to officially begin it.

Once a voyage is active, its objectives will appear in your quest radial menu.

Quest Items

Many voyages involve collecting specific Quest Items. These can range from keys and totems to skulls and trinkets. They are essential for progressing through Tall Tales and completing certain voyages. Most quest items cannot be sold for gold, but are crucial for completing their respective objectives.
