Walkthrough
  1. 1
Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found scattered across islands, within shipwrecks, floating in barrels, inside vaults at forts, or taken by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. Treasure items emit a colored glint or glow, making them visible from a distance.
  2. 2
Carrying Treasure: Each treasure item must be carried by hand to its respective Trading Company representative. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot fight or use equipment while doing so. The treasure must be dropped to regain full control. Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from afar. Smaller items can be placed in Container Chests, which can hold up to 3 items and hide their glow.
  3. 3
Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.
  4. 4
Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary and picking up relevant treasure grants Emissary Grade Reputation. Additional Reputation is gained by placing these items on the ship. These increases are awarded only upon the first claim of a treasure item.
  5. 5
Trading Companies: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company that purchases them: Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. Within these, treasures can be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, or Skeletal and Ghostly variants.
  6. 6
Gold Hoarders Treasure: Items sold to the Gold Hoarders include Treasure Chests and Artefacts.
  7. 7
Treasure Chests: These are unbreakable and locked chests sold to the Gold Hoarders. They emit a white glint. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen (found in The Devil's Roar, sell for double), Valuable, and Cursed Treasure Chests.
  8. 8
Artefacts: Smaller items found on their own, in chests, or in fortress vaults. They emit a golden glint and include Trinkets, Containers, and Ornaments made of valuable metals and gems.
Tips
  • Use a Harpoon to quickly grab treasure from a distance.
  • Container Chests can hide treasure's glow and make transport easier.
  • Be aware that treasure dropped in water will sink after a few minutes.
  • Prioritize selling treasure relevant to your current Emissary flag for increased rewards.
