This section of the Sea of Thieves guide covers 'Other Tall Tales,' focusing on the various treasures players can find and sell. Treasures are transportable items that can be sold to Trading Companies for Gold, Reputation, and Emissary Value.

Mechanics:

1. Treasure is the primary source of Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value.
2. Each Trading Company values specific treasure types and has representatives at Outposts to accept them.
3. Voyages are quests that lead players to treasure items.
4. Random treasure can be found on islands, floating in barrels or shipwrecks, or within forts and taken by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, or the Kraken.
5. Treasure items emit a colored glint or glow for easy spotting.
6. Treasure must be carried by hand to a Company Representative for a payout. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot use equipment or resources while carrying it.
7. Treasures can be retrieved with a Harpoon.
8. Smaller treasures can be placed in Container Chests (holding up to 3 items) to hide their glow and simplify transport.
9. Treasure dropped on land remains until interacted with; treasure dropped in water sinks after about 5 minutes (except Trade Good Crates).
10. Picking up relevant treasure as a Trading Company Emissary grants Emissary Grade Reputation, with additional gains for placing it on a ship.

Types of Treasure Items:

Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company that buys them. The three main companies are the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. Within these, treasures can be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, Skeletal, or Ghostly variants.

Gold Hoarders Treasure:

• Treasure Chests: Unbreakable, locked chests sold to the Gold Hoarders. Found via Treasure Maps, Riddle Maps, Ancient Vaults, or randomly. Emit a White Glint. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, and Cursed.
• Artefacts: Smaller items found individually, in chests, or fortress vaults. Emit a Golden Glint. Types include Regular Artefacts (trinkets, containers, ornaments).
