- 1Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found in various locations such as islands, shipwrecks, barrels, forts, and dropped by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. Look for a colored glint or glow to spot treasure from afar.
- 2Transporting Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative at an Outpost. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot use equipment or resources while carrying treasure. Smaller items can be placed in Container Chests, which can hold up to 3 items and hide their glow. Treasure can also be retrieved with a Harpoon.
- 3Selling Treasure: Each Trading Company values specific types of treasure. Representatives at Outposts accept these items for Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value.
- 4Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary and collecting relevant treasure grants Emissary Grade Reputation. Additional Reputation is gained when the treasure is placed on the ship.
Tips
- Treasure dropped in water will sink after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.
- Container Chests can hide the emitted glow, glint, or sound of the treasure within.
- Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from a distance.
