Complete walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence on the 'Charon' ship and explore the optional Titania Lifeboat for extra XP and lore.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, and the Camera. To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Reloading: Equip your gun using the L1 weapon wheel and press Square to reload.
- 3Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your Camera to photograph the mounted fish (Additional Evidence). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).
- 4Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects provide ammunition and crafting materials and reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 5Talk to Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) and speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye."
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.".
- 7Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 8Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA'). Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Pick up Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat. Climbing inside the lifeboat (Triangle) is required for some evidence.
- 9Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Necronomicon Edition or DLC includes a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as they consume ammo quickly.
- Consider investing your first Skill Point into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable contents are randomized. Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly and reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- The diving helmet in the lifeboat can drain your sanity if held for too long.
