Illusions

Illusions in The Sinking City 2 are half-material slices from opposite dimensions. Most people cannot distinguish them from reality.

Illusions are described as half-material slices originating from opposite dimensions, ripped from the closest worlds. The majority of people are unable to differentiate between a real object and an illusionary one. This may be because their minds attempt to shield themselves from this unsettling knowledge.

The protagonist, however, can sense when something appears incorrect and perceives each illusion within the city. This ability might stem from their visions or a mind sufficiently unhinged to confront these phenomena.
