Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, detailing evidence collection on the Charon ship, interactions with NPCs, and the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation.
Walkthrough
- 1On the Charon Ship: Collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), your Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears and pressing X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table.
- 3Lootables on Ship: Search the locker to the right of the desk for randomized ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 4Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock using Triangle. Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Choosing other dialogue branches will lock them permanently.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 6Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.". Other dialogue branches are optional.
- 7Optional: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 8Evidence in Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Rotate the Diving Helmet and examine its front faceplate. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat (climb in using Triangle). Be aware that looking at the diving helmet drains sanity over time.
- 9Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Be cautious, as large amounts of loot may indicate a dangerous area.
- When examining the Diving Helmet in the Titania Lifeboat, do not hold it for too long to avoid excessive sanity drain.
