An honest benefactor

Begin by examining your belongings on the table in front of you on the ship. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, your Camera, and your Pistol.

To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.

Use your camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence).

Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table (Additional Evidence).

Loot the locker to the right of the desk.

Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using Triangle.

Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.".

Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit.

Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".

Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path and then left towards the sea.

Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades.

Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA).

Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to find the front faceplate and search it. Be mindful of sanity drain.

Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from one of the seats inside the lifeboat.

Return to Robert Throgmorton and give him his son's will to unlock an additional conversation.
