Walkthrough for Salvation Harbor (Salvation Harbor East) (5) in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the mysteries of the city.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon arriving at Salvation Harbor, players must first collect their belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine it by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears and press X.
  2. 2
Take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall using the Camera for additional evidence.
  3. 3
Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table for more evidence.
  4. 4
Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using the Triangle button.
  5. 5
Speak with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance the game are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Choosing these options will progress the main quest and lock out other dialogue branches.
  6. 6
Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.
  7. 7
Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance the game are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.".
  8. 8
An optional investigation area, the Titania Lifeboat, can be accessed by returning to the sign, going left down a path, and then left towards the sea.
  9. 9
At the Titania Lifeboat, inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the faceplate), and Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.
  10. 10
Climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle to collect some evidence.
  11. 11
Returning Albert Throgmorton's will to Robert unlocks an optional conversation.
Tips
  • Collecting all evidence in a location before finishing a case rewards an additional 140 XP.
  • The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) is powerful but consumes ammunition quickly; save it for special occasions.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Be aware that abundant loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
  • The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation, but its evidence is not required for the main case.
  • XP for collected evidence.
  • Potential bonus XP for collecting all evidence in a location.
  • Access to optional conversations and lore.
