Walkthrough

   Collect your belongings from the table on the ship. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg and the Camera.

   Examine the Pistol on the table. Rotate it until the 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and press X to examine it.

   Use the Camera to take a photo of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).

   Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table (Additional Evidence).

   Loot the locker to the right of the desk.

   Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).

   Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.".

   Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".

Tips

• The Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds are a special DLC item; use them sparingly as they are hard to replenish.
• Consider putting the free Skill Point (if applicable) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
• Lootable objects can be reset by leaving the area and returning, allowing for repeated collection of ammunition and crafting materials.
• The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation site. To find it, return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, then left towards the sea.
• Evidence in the Titania Lifeboat includes the boat name 'TITANIA', a Diving Helmet (don't hold for too long due to sanity drain), and Albert Throgmorton's will.
• Completing the Titania Lifeboat investigation grants 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.

Optional investigation at the Titania Lifeboat provides an additional 140 XP and an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Collecting all evidence in a location before wrapping up a case grants an additional 140 XP. The Necronomicon Edition or DLC may include a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds, and potentially a Skill Point. The player also receives 6 .38 pistol rounds for collecting the pistol. The Camera is a usable item for taking pictures as evidence.
