Learn how to complete the Coroner's Report in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers all evidence locations, objectives, and tips for this early-game investigation.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your starting location and the first investigation site. You must collect evidence here before you can leave.
- 2Key Evidence:
- Your Belongings: Found on the table in front of you. You must take these to proceed.
- 3Letter from J. van der Berg: Obtained by taking your briefcase.
- 4Camera: A usable item to take pictures for evidence.
- 5Pistol: Pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine. You'll also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your weapon by holding L1, selecting the gun, and pressing Square.
- 6Additional Evidence:
- Photo of a trophy plate: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall.
- 7Flyer: Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 8Lootables: Look for the loot symbol to find containers with ammunition and crafting materials. These reset when you leave and return to the area. A locker is located to the right of the desk.
- 9Casebook Tasks: After collecting the evidence, you will have tasks to talk to Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton. Follow the prompts to advance the conversation and the game.
Tips
- If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you'll receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use the initial clip sparingly as ammo is scarce early on.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if obtained via DLC) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- When talking to NPCs, select dialogue options that advance the main quest. Optional dialogue branches are lost once you choose to move on.
- The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation site that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton if you find Albert Throgmorton's will.
