Doctor Grant needs you to investigate some nasty situations involving different types of creatures and their origins. It's a bit grim, but that's Oakmont for you. This case is split into two parts, and honestly, Part 2 can get pretty hairy. I'd recommend waiting until you've got some bigger guns, like the shotgun, before diving into that. Trust me on this one. ## Part 1 ### Former Patient's Shop : Stygians Doctor Grant wants you to check out a former patient's shop in central Salvation Harbor, on Windheim Street, south of Polaris Road. When you get to the shop, expect to be attacked by some Stygians. Keep an ear out for a strange melody and follow the bloody prints to a hole in the ground. Behind the counter, you'll find some bloody bedding and the 'Shop owner's notes.' Look around the counter for self-medication tools. The clues will lead you downstairs. On a table opposite the stairs, grab the 'Hospital response' letter. Downstairs, you'll find the patient's 'Suicide note.' ### Infected Man's House : Lethians Next up, Grant asks you to look into the case of Jim Bells in northern Salvation Harbor, on Moorland Road. Once you arrive at the Infected Man's Residence, you'll face some Lethians. There's a big hole in the floor on the ground floor with blood nearby. On a bedside table, you'll find 'Lis' secret book!'. Use your Mind's Eye on a blood mark on the other bed to see a vision of a Lethian sliming a woman. Upstairs, more Lethians will pop out of slime. After you deal with them, look for some clothing pieces near the slime. On the kitchen table, you'll notice some old, uneaten food. Using retrocognition, you'll discover the Lethians came from the basement and infected the family. ## Part 2 ### Restaurant : Cocitians This part takes you to the 'Count Ungolino' restaurant in eastern Reed Heights, on Willow Lane. Be ready for a fight as soon as you arrive; several Cocitians will attack. After you clear them out, check the tables for a 'Staff needed' advertisement and a 'Formal invitation letter' on the bar, inviting Robert Throgmorton to the reopening. Upstairs, near the fire, you'll find a 'Mysterious disappearance' newspaper article. Back downstairs, behind the bar, a blood trail leads to the basement. You'll find a bloody hammer on the counter, and more blood, knives, and a saw in the basement. The trail leads to a tub of gore. In the next room, you'll find Chef Arman. He gets aggressive when he sees you. On the table with the body, you'll find a 'Recipe for human meat.' Use your Mind's Eye on the bowls of body parts to see the chef feeding the beasts. Check his desk for a note titled 'Anthropophagia.' When you report back to the Doctor, he'll suggest these creatures were once humans who turned to cannibalism. ### Closed shop : Acheronians Finally, Grant wants you to check out a shop on Ward Street in western Reed Heights. A looter got attacked by a huge wylebeast here. As soon as you enter the Abandoned Shop, an Acheronian will attack. After you handle it, investigate the counter for a 'Cultist letter.' Near the basement access, you'll find slime-covered bags and the basement door. Downstairs, there's a book called 'Mother's Grace' on a desk, and more slime-covered bags. Investigate the pile in the left room. Using retrocognition, you'll learn a cult worshipping The Fecund Mother brought corpses here, and they merged together.
