Navigate the complexities of Form Alpha-Three in The Sinking City 2. This guide provides step-by-step instructions, tips, and strategies to help you complete this challenging section of the game.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate and obtain your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and your Pistol.
- 2Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle and pressing X. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Reload your pistol by equipping it via the weapon wheel (hold L1) and pressing Square.
- 4Use your Camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall for additional evidence.
- 5Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of the table for more evidence.
- 6Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 7Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using Triangle.
- 8Converse with Johannes van der Berg. Select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" locks out further optional dialogue.
- 9Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign towards the bar and exit.
- 10Converse with Robert Throgmorton. Select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going." Note that selecting "I'll be going" locks out further optional dialogue.
- 11Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA."
- 12Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain.
- 13Find and inspect Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the lifeboat seats.
- 14Return to Robert Throgmorton with the will to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (if obtained via DLC) uses bullets quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing the free Skill Point (if obtained via DLC) into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials after respawning.
- Be cautious with lootable containers; a large amount of loot may indicate a dangerous area.
- The optional Lifeboat Titania investigation provides extra XP and an additional conversation, but is not required for main progression.
