Complete walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's (LE.DOG) Deep Ones' Gold quest. Find all evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the secrets of this challenging mission.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin by collecting your belongings from the table on the "Charon" ship. This includes your Pistol (examine the handle by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears, press X) and the Letter from J. van der Berg.
- 2Use your Camera to take a photo of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 3Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).
- 4Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (press Triangle).
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Note that choosing dialogue options closes off other conversational branches.
- 6Proceed north along the pier until you reach a sign. Turn right towards the bar and exit.
- 7Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To progress, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.". Similar to the previous conversation, selecting "I'll be going." ends the dialogue and locks out other options.
- 8Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This investigation is not required for casebook progression but rewards extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9In the Titania Lifeboat, inspect the boat name "TITANIA".
- 10Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain if you hold it for too long.
- 11Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from one of the seats inside the lifeboat (press Triangle to climb inside).
- 12After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) is powerful but consumes ammunition quickly; save its clip for critical moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area.
- The contents of lootable objects are randomized. Larger supplies may indicate a more dangerous area.
- The Lifeboat Titania investigation is optional; no evidence found there is required for the main casebook.
