Detailed walkthrough for Salvation Harbor (Salvation Harbor West) (7) in The Sinking City 2, including key evidence, optional objectives, and character interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1Investigate the "Charon" Ship: Upon arriving in the city, the ship you are on serves as your first investigation location. Collect all available evidence before proceeding.
- 2Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table (briefcase), Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained from the briefcase), Camera, and Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall using your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 4Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, you can speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select the following dialogue options to advance: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing optional dialogue branches will prevent you from accessing them later.
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton as you go up the stairs.
- 7Speak with Robert Throgmorton: To advance the game, select the following dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Optional questions can be asked, but selecting "I'll be going." ends the conversation.
- 8Optional: Investigate the Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): If you ask Robert Throgmorton about his son's lifeboat, he will provide directions. Return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 9Additional Evidence (Titania Lifeboat): Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Rotate and examine the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain). Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat.
- 10Reward for Optional Investigation: Completing this optional investigation grants an extra 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
