Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, detailing key evidence, optional investigations, and NPC interactions to guide you through the early stages of the game.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect all key evidence to progress.
- 2Key Evidence: Your belongings (briefcase, camera, pistol). Examine the pistol by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and press X.
- 3Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the mounted fish with your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 4Lootables: Lockers and other lootable objects can be found and repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 5Exiting the Ship: Climb onto the dock using Triangle.
- 6Johannes van der Berg Conversation: Engage in dialogue. To advance, select: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.'. Choosing 'I need somewhere to stay.' locks out some optional dialogue branches.
- 7Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign.
- 8Robert Throgmorton Conversation: Engage in dialogue. To advance, select: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', 'I'll be going.'. Optional questions can be asked before selecting 'I'll be going.'.
- 9Optional: Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): Return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 10Optional Evidence: Inspect the 'TITANIA' name on the lifeboat, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate, do not hold for too long due to sanity drain), and find 'Albert Throgmorton's will' on a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle to collect evidence.
- 11Completing this optional investigation grants 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
