A detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City, covering the Salvation Harbor (3) section, including key evidence, optional objectives, and NPC interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship Investigation:
- Examine your belongings on the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), the Camera (usable item for taking pictures), and your Pistol (requires examination by rotating and pressing X). You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Reload your pistol by holding L1, selecting the gun, and pressing Square.
- 3Collect additional evidence: take a photo of the fish mounted on the wall using your camera, and examine the flyer on the desk.
- 4Loot the locker to the right of the desk for random ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable items reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 5Conversation with Johannes van der Berg:
- After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) to speak with Johannes van der Berg.
- 6Select the following dialogue options to advance: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Choosing other options will lock you out of certain dialogue branches.
- 7Finding Robert Throgmorton:
- Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit.
- 8Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".
- 10Optional: Lifeboat Titania Investigation:
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 11Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA".
- 12Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to search the front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain while examining the helmet.
- 13Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- 14This optional investigation grants an additional 140 XP and allows for an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton upon returning his son's will.
