Navigate Coverside Central in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Discover key evidence, optional objectives, and essential tips to progress through this challenging section of the game.
Walkthrough
- 1The "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, Pistol), and additional evidence: a photo of a trophy plate and a flyer. You must collect your belongings to leave the ship. To examine the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. To reload your gun, equip it and press Square.
- 2Johannes van der Berg Conversation: After leaving the ship, you'll automatically speak with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.". Choosing these options progresses the game and locks out other dialogue branches.
- 3Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton as you go up the stairs.
- 4Robert Throgmorton Conversation: Key dialogue options to advance the game include: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.". Asking about the lifeboat's location is optional and will not be repeated.
- 5Titania Lifeboat (Optional Investigation): Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This investigation is optional and does not add to your casebook, but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 6Titania Lifeboat Evidence: Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect evidence. Looking at the diving helmet for too long will drain your sanity.
Tips
- If you have the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use this clip sparingly as it consumes ammo quickly.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if applicable from DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be searched repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area. The amount of loot can indicate the danger level of the area.
- After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to give him the will and unlock an optional conversation.
