Walkthrough
- 1Upon arriving on the "Charon" ship, collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Letter from J. van der Berg, your Camera, and your Pistol (which requires examination of the handle with an "eyeball" symbol). You also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use your camera to take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 3Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).
- 4Loot the locker to the right of the desk.
- 5Exit the ship by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock.
- 6Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To progress, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue branches.
- 7Proceed north along the pier to a sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Turn right towards the exit.
- 8As you ascend the stairs, you will begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To progress, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.". Other dialogue options are optional.
- 9Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania
- 10Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 11Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA".
- 12Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to find the front faceplate and searching it. Be mindful of sanity drain while examining the helmet.
- 13Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat inside the lifeboat.
- 14You can return to Robert Throgmorton with the will to unlock an additional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ACP rounds. This weapon consumes ammo rapidly; save its initial clip for critical moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area.
- The Lifeboat Titania investigation is optional but rewards 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
