Continue the Historical Heritage quest in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence on the 'Charon' ship, including your belongings, a letter, camera, and pistol. Learn about optional evidence and interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence to proceed.
- 2Key Evidence:
- Your Belongings: Collect your briefcase from the table. This also grants the Letter from J. van der Berg.
- 3Camera: A usable item to take pictures for evidence.
- 4Pistol: Pick up the pistol, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (hold L1, select weapon, press Square).
- 5Additional Evidence:
- Photo of a trophy plate: Use your camera to photograph the fish mounted on the wall.
- 6Flyer: Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 7Lootables: Search lootable objects (marked with a symbol) for ammunition and crafting materials. These reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 8Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) and speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye" to advance the game.
- 9Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the bar and exit. Go up the stairs to start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 10Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going."
- 11Optional: Titania Lifeboat (Robert's Request): Return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades. This is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Additional Evidence: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate, be mindful of sanity drain), and collect "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat. Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to access some evidence.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use the initial clip sparingly as ammo is scarce.
- Consider putting a free Skill Point (if DLC owned) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable containers may indicate the danger level of an area based on their contents.
- The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional and does not add to your casebook, but provides bonus XP and dialogue.
