Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for 'A Frosty Welcome' in The Sinking City 2, detailing key evidence, optional investigations, and character interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" ship, collect your Key Evidence: your belongings on the table, the Letter from J. van der Berg (from the briefcase), the Camera, and your Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use the Camera to take a picture of the Photo of a trophy plate (a strange fish mounted on the wall) for Additional Evidence.
- 3Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings for another piece of Additional Evidence.
- 4After collecting your belongings, you will automatically speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye" to advance.
- 5Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Climb the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going." to advance.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds are included with the Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC. Use its initial clip sparingly as resources are scarce.
- If you have the DLC, consider investing the free Skill Point into the Absolute Clarity Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area.
- Reloading your gun is done by equipping it via the weapon wheel (hold L1) and pressing Square.
Completing the main objectives allows you to leave the ship and continue the investigation. Collecting all evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP.
