Alright, let's dive into the 'Investigation scene, Self-Defense (3)' part of your journey in The Sinking City 2. This is where things start to get really interesting as you gather crucial evidence.

As soon as you arrive, you'll get a key piece of evidence added to your Casebook: Murder accusation. Keep an eye on that!

Your next move is to find and talk to Carpenter's taskmaster, Frank. You'll have a few dialogue options with him:

• I remember you.
• How did Mr. Carpenter hear about this?
• So Mr. Carpenter remembers me?
• Why am I accused of murder?

After your chat with Frank, you'll get a few more things added to your Casebook and your Mind Palace. You'll receive the clue No alibi, and The plot thickens, which is the second piece of Key Evidence for this case. You'll also get a notification that Key Evidence Collected.

Now, head out of the lock-up and make your way to the main hall. Turn right and head into the police archive. Once inside, make sure the 'Self-Defense' case is highlighted in your Casebook, then interact with the archives.

When you're prompted to choose evidence, select the Murder accusation. Then, you'll need to pick three search criteria. Here’s what you should go with:

• CRIMES: Violent crimes
• SUBJECT: Suspects
• EVIDENCE: Instruments of crime
• DISTRICT: Advent

Running this search will net you another important piece of evidence: My police record, which gets added to your Casebook under 'Self-Defense'.

With that done, leave the archive and head over to reception. You'll need to speak with Cpt. Caleb Lyons. You'll have two dialogue choices:

• What's with the attitude?
• I'm sorry, I'll do better.

After your conversation with Cpt. Lyons, you'll wrap up this segment of the investigation. You'll receive Cpt. Lyons statement (the final piece of Evidence for this part) and a notification that All Evidence Collected. You'll also get a nice chunk of XP, specifically +184 XP, pushing your total experience towards the next skill unlock.
