Follow our comprehensive guide to The Sinking City 2's "A Frosty Welcome" mission, detailing evidence collection, NPC interactions, and optional objectives for a complete walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1On the Charon Ship: Collect your belongings (key evidence). This also grants the Letter from J. van der Berg. Pick up the Camera. Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle and pressing X; this grants 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Optional Evidence on Ship: Use the Camera to take a photo of the trophy plate (fish on the wall). Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk for random ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Exit the Ship: Climb onto the dock using Triangle.
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg: Choose dialogue options to advance the conversation. Key options to progress are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that selecting "Goodbye" ends the conversation permanently.
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton as you go up the stairs.
- 7Speak with Robert Throgmorton: Key dialogue options to advance the game include: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.". Asking about the lifeboat's location is optional and does not mark it on the map.
- 8Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This investigation is not required for casebook progression but grants extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9Evidence at Titania Lifeboat: Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA). Rotate the Diving Helmet and examine the front faceplate. Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat using Triangle. Be aware that looking at the diving helmet for too long drains sanity.
- 10Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
