Follow our detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's Coverside East (3) section, guiding you through key evidence, optional objectives, and essential tips for progression.
Walkthrough
- 1Charon Ship Investigation: This is your first investigation location. Collect the following key evidence:
- Your belongings on the table (required to leave). This also grants the 'Letter from J. van der Berg'.
- 2The 'Camera' (usable item for taking pictures as evidence).
- 3The 'Pistol' (examine it by rotating until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, press X). You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 4Additional Evidence on Charon Ship:
- Take a photo of the mounted fish with your camera ('Photo of a trophy plate').
- 5Examine the flyer on the desk ('Flyer').
- 6Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and provide ammunition and crafting materials. They reset when you leave and return to the area.
- 7Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (Triangle) and speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select the following dialogue options to advance: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.'. Note that choosing 'I need somewhere to stay' locks out other dialogue branches.
- 8Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign with directions. Turn right towards the 'exit' and go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 9Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: Select the following to advance: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', 'I'll be going.'. Other branches are optional.
- 10Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: If you ask about the lifeboat location, return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Additional Evidence in Lifeboat:
- Inspect the lifeboat name ('TITANIA').
- Additional Evidence in Lifeboat:
- 11Examine the 'Diving Helmet' (rotate and search the front faceplate). Be cautious as prolonged inspection drains sanity.
- 12Find 'Albert Throgmorton's will' on a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
- 13Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
